GENERAL NOTES:
1- This door has been designed in accordance with
the Florida Building Code, 2004 edition.
2- Positive and negative design pressure
calculations shall be performed in accordance with ASCE 7—88 “Minimum Design
Loads for Building and Other Structures”, w/ a minimum basic wind speed of 146
m.p.h.
3- The details and specifications shown herein
represent the products tested for impact, cyclic and uniform static air
pressure in conformance with Dade County protocols PA 201, 202, and 203 as per
FTL report # 2337, with de sign loads as follows:
—Positive Design Load 90.0 psf.
—Negative Design Load 90.0 psf.
4- Slat to be A.S.T.M. A—653 SQ. grade 80, with G—90
galvanizing, or A.I.S.I. Stainless Steel series manufactured with a minimum
yield strength of 80.0 ksi.
5- All steel angles to be A.S.T.M. A—36 designation,
shop primed against cor rosion prior to installation.
6- Guides & windlocks to be A.S.T.M. A—653 SQ. grade
50 cold formed steel designation, with 0—60 galvanizing.
7- Hood to be 24 Ga. A.S.T.M. A—525 designation,
with 6—90 galvanizing.
8- All rivets to be A.l.S.I 1006 Steel, Zinc Plated
w/48.42 ksi minimum tensile strength.
9- Concrete anchors to be as manufactured by Powers
Fastening Inc., and shall be installed following all of the recommendations
and specifications of the anchor’s manufacturer.
10- All welding to conform to American Welding
Society’s latest edition’s regula tions, and the South Florida Building Code.
Use A.WS AS.? or A5.5 E60xx electrodes mim. 1/8” fillet size.
11- Insulation material shall be EPS—Expanded
Polystyrene Insulation manufactured by Apache Products Company w/ 1.07 Lb/ft3
density. Notice of acceptance # 01-1108.09
12- It shall be the responsibillty of the cantractor
to verify that the existing struc ture is designed to support Vx and Vy forces
at both jambs.
